I’ve always been a firm believer in fully automating my web site and so should you.  You can then focus on the marketing side of things and not the maintenance side.  That is the main reason why I believe in automation.

 

The internet provides three very powerful elements in the marketing world that no other marketing medium provides that you should take full advantage of.

 

  1. The ability to reach millions of people all over the world right from the comfort of your home or office.
  2. The ability to offer instant access to your products and automatically deliver them.
  3. The ability to automate virtually every aspect of running your business.

 

There are of course plenty of other great things about the internet, but these are the three I focus on.   The first is a gimme.  That is probably the reason why you are learning to market on the Internet.  Right?

 

The second one is very key.  If you have a solution people are looking for, then it will be hard for you not to make sales if you can offer them instant gratification to that solution.  It is the American way.

 

The third one is of course for your own benefit.  Putting your business on full autopilot is going to allow you the time you need to advertise your business, and create new products/business.

 

Here are the three things I can think of to automate.

 

  1. Credit card processing.
  2. Your Delivery System
  3. Secondary sales process

 

Number 3 is critical if you wish to grow your business.  Back end selling creates hugh amounts of profit.  You can use an auto responder. You can simply have your ordering system set off an auto responder which has your pre-written sales messages in it to sell your backend products.  This will be set off every time somebody places an order at your site.

 

If you are new to marketing, then I probably just confused the heck out of you.

 

Just keep in mind that on the internet, almost everything but actual customer service, can be automated.

 

You should always remember that the most important part of your business is getting  and selling to new and current customers.
